
Jessica has practiced family law since her call to the bar in 2012. She has extensive experience in assisting clients to resolve the matters arising from their separation whether the parties are cooperating or high conflict.
Jessica is a member of Collaborative Practice Manitoba and believes in the value of the collaborative process. She is skilled in assisting parties to find creative solutions that work for their family whether that is for the purpose of a cohabitation agreement or a separation agreement.
Jessica also knows how to navigate matters that require the litigation process. She has extensive trial and appellate experience particularly in high conflict parenting matters and understands the significant impact that a separation can have on a child.
Jessica knows first hand the benefit of strong mentorship and working as a team having learned to practice family law from leading experts in the field. Mentorship is a passion that she advocates for including in her current role as the President of the Manitoba Bar Association. Jessica also teaches Advanced Advocacy at the University of Manitoba- Robson Hall and has presented on various aspects of family law for the Manitoba Bar Association as well as Canadian Bar Association. She currently sits on the executive of the Family Section of the Canadian Bar Association and is the past chair of the Family Section of the Manitoba Bar Association.
